On September 16, 2012 the Clayton County Sheriff’s Office arrested twenty-nine year old Adam Joseph Every-Harbaugh on charges of Attempt to Commit Murder and O.W.I. 1st
Offense in connection to the early morning shooting of his twenty nine year old wife at their home located at 37284 Graham Rd. It is believed a physical and verbal argument lead to the shooting where Harbaugh fired a shotgun at his wife striking her in the head. The victim was taken to the Guttenberg Municipal Hospital and later transported to Iowa City Hospital by Air Care. The case remains under investigation. Harbaugh is being held on $150,000 Cash or Surety bond. The Clayton County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Guttenberg Police Department, Monona Police Department, and Iowa State Patrol.
