Motion by Walke, seconded by Gibbs, to approve resolutions # 14 & 15-2005 regarding notice to bidders for projects L-723(1) and N-16-54. Ayes: Walke, Meyer, Gibbs
Resolution #14-2005
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of Clayton County, Iowa, that the County Auditor be directed to advertise for bids on the following project:
L-723(1) Seal coat located on the line of Sections 17 and 20, 16 and 21, 15 and 22, T94N, R4W (Farmersburg Township), Clayton County, Iowa, beginning at the intersection of Hwy13 and 190th Street easterly on 190th Street to the intersection of Hwy 52, from the intersection of Hwy 52 and Ivory Road easterly on Ivory Road on existing seal coat and inside Clayton County Fair Grounds at National.
60.0 cubic yards of excavation Class 10 roadway & borrow; 10,181.0 ton of choke stone base; 14,375.0 ton of macadam stone base; 1262.0 ton of aggregate, roadway cover ½ inch; 31,282.0 gallons of binder bitumen MC-3000; 5,406.0 gallons of asphalt emulsion for dust control; 375.0 ton of surfacing, driveway, class A crushed stone, lump sum for traffic control; lump sum for mobilization. Bids will be received until 11:00 AM, May 25, 2005, at the office of the Clayton County Auditor in the Courthouse in Elkader, Iowa.

BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of Clayton County, Iowa, that the County Auditor be directed to advertise for bids on the following project: N-16-54 RCB Culvert-new twin box Bixby Avenue over tributary to Nagle Creek. 0.1 acre of clearing and grubbing; 738.0 cubic yards of excavation class 10 roadway & borrow; 14.0 cubic yards of excavation of class 13 channel; 500.0 tons of macadam stone base; 325.0 ton of granular surfacing on road of class A crushed stone; lump sum of removal of existing structure; 440.0 cubic yard of excavation, class 23; 101.1 cubic yards of structural concrete (culvert); 12,519.0 pounds of reinforcing steel; 1 each of aprons, concrete 24” diameter; 48 linear feet of culvert, concrete entrance pipe 24” diameter;
125 square yards of engineering fabric; 94 tons of revetment, class E riprap; 2 each of safety closure; lump sum of traffic control; lump sum of mobilization. Bids will be received until 11:00 AM, June 1, 2005, at the office of the Clayton County Auditor in the Courthouse in Elkader, Iowa.
