Meeting of the Board of Supervisors at their office, 200 E. Bridge St., Elkader, IA.
Present: Robert Walke, Neil Meyer, Larry Gibbs
The board approved claims for payment.
Kyle Pattison, Pattison Bros. Terminal; Darla Kelchen, Clayton County Development Group; Carolyn Corbin, Upper Explorerland Regional Planning Commission; were present to discuss the possibility of using tax increment financing to help finance expansion of the operation of Pattison Bros. Terminal into sand mining. Kyle Pattison briefed the board on the progress of his project and the details of his business plan. Motion by Walke, seconded by Meyer, to authorize Upper Explorerland Regional Planning Commission to develop an urban renewal plan for Pattison Sand Company.
