Meeting of the Board of Supervisors at their office, 200 E. Bridge St,
Elkader, IA
Present: Larry Gibbs, Wayne Bockenstedt, Randy Keehner
Motion by Gibbs, seconded by Bockenstedt, to authorize the chairman to
sign an affiliation agreement with Northeast Iowa Mental Health Center
for 2009. Ayes: Gibbs, Bockenstedt, Keehner
Sarah Underhill, Schneider Corp., made a presentation of hosting a web
portal for Clayton County’s property data.
A public hearing on county budget proposal for the fiscal year ending
June 30, 2010, was conducted. There were two members of the public
(Larry Stone and Jerry Weber), two representatives of Scenic Acres
(Shirley Christianson and Mary Kulper) and four departments
representatives (Sue Meyer, Linda Orr, Tim Engelhardt and Harry Luster)
present. A review of the proposed budget was given by County Auditor,
Dennis Freitag.
Motion by Bockenstedt, seconded by Gibbs, to adopt the county budget
proposal for fiscal year ending June 30, 2010, as published. Ayes:
Gibbs, Bockenstedt, Keehner
Motion by Gibbs, seconded by Bockenstedt, to approve the County
Compensation Board’s recommendation of salary schedule contained in the
proposed budget as follows:
County Attorney $51,383
County Auditor $45,277
County Recorder $44,928
County Treasurer $44,928
County Sheriff $57,086
County Supervisors $26,460
Supervisor Chair $26,710
